MEADOWCREEK ELEMENTARY
In addition to the Student of the Month program, Christ UMC partners with Meadow Creek Elementary to provide a class for 3rd-5th grade girls called "Girls In Pearls." This class is taught by Christ UMC Youth Director, Lisa Salas, and MC teachers. The students learn etiquette, respect, and self-esteem.
Christ UMC hosts an Afternoon Tea and Spaghetti Dinner for the students to practice and show off their manners!
Our church members volunteer in the office and for the Read to Win program, as well as provide other fun support during events like Teacher Appreciation Week.
NEIGHBORHOOD NEEDS
"Whatever you did for the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did for me." -Matthew 25:40
Our church supports local missions through Neighborhood Needs, an ecumencial outreach ministry housed at Altamesa Church of Christ. This ministry provides clothing, food, and emergency assistance to those in need. There is also a community garden for local refugee and asylum seeking families.
Christ UMC volunteers are at Neighborhoods Needs every Tuesday and Saturday morning. If you would like volunteer or if you need help, please visit 4600 Altamesa Blvd.
